After spending two days in the provincial capital 'Pakse' and explore the surrounding countryside, we went by bus and boat to Don Det, one of 4,000 islands. The 4000 Islands (Si Phan Don) are as the name says, an archipelago in the Mekong on the border with Cambodia.
have five days where we spent a nice day. Most of the time we were reading in the hammock, were swimming in the Mekong River or exploring the island by bicycle and so gigantic waterfalls and deserted sandy beaches. The
Island is not even especially well developed, so the power comes as yet from the generator. This, however, gives the island a special charm.
The evening we spent with many other travelers and had a good time together.
