During the stay on Robben Iceland, the ANC members of a sophisticated training system for the prisoners, through which they passed on their political principles and the history of the ANC (African National Congress). This so-called "Mandela University" was included in a unique place of learning and education, even the white security personnel.
This Example shows how the individual personality traits interact and make the success of resilience for granted. It requires a steady optimism to face tough challenges. Accepting an indispensable situation provides the necessary composure and distance to the events. Only when these conditions are in place, may offer new solutions.
If we mentally deal constantly with the problem and analyze the difficult situation in which we find ourselves, we look for reasons. This often means that we are "in the circle" instead of turning to look for ways. However, we think ahead and try our solutions to situations or positive to the people ("it is already") present, so this is confirmed more frequently in the real environment. This is called "self-fulfilling prophecy."
