Strange faces stare at me. Their slanted eyes appear exotic. These beings like that, not to South America. I turn to my observant companion. "You must certainly superior brother to ask if this piece of art from the collection of Father Crespi," answered my annoying guard in broken English: "Of course not. I know that this film is etched from the possession of Father Crespi I hake for: »! And where was Father Crespi these works of art? Surely you can not answer without consulting with Brother Superior, "A consultation with the head of the monastery is not necessary.

Father Crespi has received countless gifts from grateful Indians. And they had taken out an underground tunnel system. About such underground facilities Erich von Daniken has reported in "sowing and the cosmos" (1). He has written an incredible treasures that were found in a huge tunnel complex ... by a strange table with chairs indefinable material, by an odd "zoological garden of madness" (2): "Behind the chairs are animals, dinosaurs, elephants, lions, crocodiles, jaguars, camels, bears, monkeys, bison, wolves - crawling lizards, Snails, crabs. How poured into molds, they lined up informal and friendly to each other. "

is far from this strange zoo, says Erich von Daniken (3) "the library of metal plates, some millimeter-thin metal films." One estimate it will "give a few thousand" of these metal plates. Crespi engraved plates come from this mysterious "library"? It seems to me that my minders scared if his communication ability even is. From now on, he stubbornly silent.

Owned Carlo Crespi objects from a mysterious tunnel system that was created by an unknown culture in ancient times? And what happened to the Crespi collection? My companions and I were put off again and again. Time was Brother Superior in a meeting, meeting table and then finally to a major road. An audience with the abbot is not given us ... All we have is the memory of metal plates from Crespi mysterious collection that were used for repair of stairs, floors and walls ....

photographed. They learned in the spring of 2000 that some of the mysterious metal plates still in the Salesian monastery were: first, in the attic, they were - made it into "not accessible to the public depots" - for renovation. Bought the "Banco Central has" only archaeologically valuable objects out of clay and stone ... warm not described by Erich von Daniken metal plates? The chief restorer José Maldonado regrets. We have the metal plates dismissed in the lump as without historical significance, it could be but, as the recognized expert discovered too late (3) "under the dubious pieces are quite as authentic exhibits. Maldonado also the remaining stocks would have liked to put together in a collection and made available to the public. "

To date, Jose Maldonado was able to organize any Crespi overall exhibition. Klaus Dona and Reinhard Habeck, however, managed the seemingly impossible. They received some of the Crespi-metal plates .... and they could show on the acclaimed 2001 exhibition "Unsolved Mysteries." Was it real objects mysterious origin from ancient times? They came from the mysterious underground tunnel system through which Erich von Däniken has informed the world community? No one can say this.

In 1992 I was searching for clues in Cuenca Ecuador. Even in circles of scientists reports circulating about the gigantic subterranean tunnel system. Of clearly artificial tunnels is talk of amazing stone arrangements and strange artifacts. From military is the speech that the metal plates from the underworld is said to have been. Rumors about rumors. The line between fantasy and reality blurred ....

1972, Erich von Daniken violently attacked because of his statements to the underground tunnel system in Ecuador, partly in an offensive form. Meanwhile it was confirmed by the Scottish explorer Stanley Hall. Stan Hall leaves no doubt: The tunnel system, with its treasures, it's really, really is the metal library. Stanley Hall even made public, where is the entrance to the underworld in Ecuador: 77 degrees 47 minutes 34 seconds west and 1 degree 56 minutes 00 seconds south.

But beware! Curiosity can kill be! Petronio Jaramillo was in the underground tunnel system. He has seen the metal library and described (5). It included "thousands" of pages, each metal sheet is about 40 by 20 centimeters. Jaramillo was murdered in May 1998 outside his home in Esmeraldas.

Worldwide there are countless museums, where artifacts from the past of mankind are shown. They show the admirable work of countless scientists, trying to fathom with hard work and tremendous effort, the history of mankind. You can pay these scholars only the highest recognition. You have answered many questions ... But it is not surprising that the official school science always only objects to places that confirm the traditional view of the world.

objects that cast doubt on the accepted historiography pay, can not find a place in the museums of the world. Why not? Because no such objects exist that are truly genuine? Creeps me feel uncomfortable! Archaeological artifacts, which could make our world view in question to be addressed by the science is very scant. You have hardly a real opportunity to be exhibited in the display cases of museums. Because the snake bites its own tail? Only "real" finds recognition. They clog up the world of school science. What could cast doubt on this view of the world will be classed prematurely as non-genuine. Because it can only be real, what may be real ... be made uncomfortable questions not only .... at least not officially!

"The controversial story about the metal library is only beginning," writes Erich von Daniken in his work informs "Wrong!" Relentlessly open it, how the public in matters Crespi was led behind the light. Will we ever know the truth?
