In today's episode of my series "Monster walls, mummies and mysteries," I go to a mysterious archaeological back collection that will be hotly debated for many years. I was the first non-fiction author who concealed for a long time has shown in word and image artifacts. My fear: the collection of Prof. Javier Cabrera Darquea disappears into oblivion before it can be seriously investigated scientifically ...

Who wants to explore the great mysteries of our planet must have a lot of staying power. If you are looking intense encounters, always in a mysterious traces. Back in the seventies of last century came in to me, please: a museum with allegedly monstrous objects. A Dr. Javier Cabrera Darquea have collected the sensational findings of a controversial museum. The more intense I researched, the more exciting was the mysterious story. The Council maintains Dr. Javier Cabrera Darquea not one but two collections. Only one was open to the visitors of his museum. The second, secret collection would get to see only the closest to the professor.
In the fall of 1992 I made my first attempt to take Prof. Cabrera's collections on site inspection. I spoke with three friends in Ica, Peru before. To our great disappointment, however, was Prof. Cabrera .... just at this time traveling in Europe at about talks to keep his museum. Prof. Cabrera's brother, but he confirmed the existence of the second, secret collection.
appeared two years later the book "The Stones of Ica" by Cornelia Petratu and Bernard Roidinger (1). Detail as the "official" Cabrera's collection is described: the almost gigantic amount of engraved stones. I read page after page ... from the secret second collection no trace. Only in the epilogue to go Petrartu Roidinger and a mystery to this very special second collection. At the end Prof. Cabrera allowed the two authors, they report in the epilogue (2), "a look into the" secret chambers.

What would refuse because Dr. Cabrera to the public, "all limits of rational imagination." It was "shocking, what was kept there by Prof. Cabrera. But what was it? In 1994 it was finally time I was discovering the "secret collection," Prof. Cabrera. As the first author ever it was allowing me to write about the mysterious second collection ... to post photos like this: in my book Before the flood came "(3).
I remember my first visit in that corridor-like space. The air was bone dry. Few naked light bulbs donated only dim light. My flashlight beam let her walk. Right and left of me are shelves piled from floor to ceiling. They had little to inspire confidence, the burden of the clay figures seemed hardly able to bear. How long was this passage ... I do not know.
hundreds, no thousands of clay figures dusty on the shelves ... dimensional representations, which could certainly enrich a horror movie. I wrote "in my book Before the flood came "(4):" The exhibits in the secret archaeological collection, let me shiver. Meanwhile, scientific studies are planned that will determine the age of the artifacts of horror. And admit when I'm honest, I have to, I hope with all my heart that this terrible clay figures are fake ... I would be glad if I could announce that the artifacts are genuine. There are already enough nightmares. "

constantly repeated since very similar scenes. As a figure lies stretched on a kind of operating table. Sometimes, another figure stands, sometimes there are two strange beings. The recumbent figure is getting operated on. Her body is cut. The surgery scenes represent different stages of medical interventions dar. This is a "surgeon" just at the knife. There, two surgeons have the body of her "patients open." There, the footwall an organ is removed from the body. What is happening? If help because "doctors" at work, the sick? Remember vividly the scenes depicted in tone more scientists that do not heal dissect, but. I seems that the lying is not helpful. You come to me more like helpless against victims who are abused as "material" for science experiments!
How many figurines might there be? There are probably not only hundreds but thousands. And as I have been assured Prof. Javier Cabrera Darquea at different visits and over again, there is an underground tunnel system in an estimated 100 000 of these objects. Prof. Javier Cabrera Darquea has repeatedly expressed its hope that even a large museum will be built. A strong, well-tempered house should provide the vast quantities of figures, a secure home. But such a museum is not even scheduled until today. I am pessimistic: I do not think that will ever establish such a museum.
Professor Dr. Javier Cabrera Darquea (geboren1924) died in 2001. At that time, lost its main advocate Cabrera's vast collection, which it saw as his life's work to create his museum exhibits a large museum.

On 15 August 2007, Peru hit by a massive earthquake. Particularly hard hit was the region of Ica. How many people died, which is still unknown. The dead among the poorest of the poor who lived in primitive huts, often illegally ... No one knows their exact number
Stark was based affected the museum Cabrera! In the publicly accessible collection of huge carved stones fell from the shelves and shattered. Some were completely destroyed, others were only slightly damaged. And what happened "with the fragile figurines in the" secret chamber? How many of these fragile exhibits were destroyed?
From talking with "experts" I know that there are so many guardians of the archaeological Truths would like to see Cabrera's collection would disappear and would have to be examined does not even really thoroughly!
